Contribute to our online library of sustainable school feeding
Are you part of a project or teaching activity focusing on sustainable school feeding?
We would like you to share your ideas and experience! We are building an online library of good practice of sustainable school feeding, for mutual inspiration of all those working in this field and to enable local adaptation of proven ideas.
To keep it simple, we developed a short form where the goals and basic characteristics of an idea are documented, combined with 2-3 photographs that give an impression of what it looks like in reality (view examples).
The library is a non-profit project and our platform and the organizations behind are strictly non-commercial. However, we are aware that filling in the form requires some thorough thinking and will take 1 or 2 hours, especially if you have to take/select adequate pictures 1We are in the testing phase of our international compensation program. Payments to schools are subject to national legislation and can only be issued if no laws stand against them. The transfer of money will take place within 30 days after accepted submission, by international money transfer (SWIFT) or PayPal, exchange rates will be calculated on www.oanda.com on the day of transfer. Only good practice documents that fulfil the criteria stated on this page can be compensated for..
How to get compensated | Terms & Conditions
Compensation for documentation of completed project
For a completed good practice document, submitters will be compensated with 50 EUR (or the equivalent amount in your national currency) 2 Please inform the other actors in the project that you want to document and submit. Best case scenario: you do it together.. This applies for e.g. pedagogical or kitchen staff or external partners (NGOs) who had a leading role in completing the project 3 The submitter(s) must own the copyright of all photographs included in the document or have the permission by the person owning the copyright. Individuals (underage students: their legal guardians) pictured have to be informed about the use of the picture and give their consent for the non-commercial and anonymous use on this platform.. If you are part of a student-driven project, you can apply for the Bonus Support Payment as well. Please note that no more than 2 good practice documents can be accepted per submitter/year.
Extra support payment for ongoing student project
Plus, if your project involves students in an active role and your group is in need of (small) funds to keep the project going or to further develop it, you should submit the good practice document as “ongoing student project”, completed by an affirmation by the head of school/institution that the Extra support payment will exclusively be reinvested in the project described. This way, you can optain a total payment of 100 EUR (or the equivalent amount in your national currency) to your sustainable school food project (i.e. 50 EUR for the documentation + 50 EUR extra project support.)
